What causes are you most passionate about?
Education and Climate. My education provided a passion for learning that elevated me to where I am today. Everyone should have the opportunity to pursue their education and curiosity which is why I volunteer with pencil.org to help NYC youth prepare for interviews, optimize their resume and plan their career path. Surfing Rockaway Beach reminds me constantly of the impact climate change has on ocean life. My wife and I do our small part by volunteering, donating, and dropping compost off every week while walking our “chonky” pitbull Kane.
What ideas or efforts do you think will or have changed the world the most?
AGI (Artificial General Intelligence). The idea that machines will surpass humans in general intelligence. I highly recommend the book “Superintelligence” by Nick Bostrom if you want to learn more about how this concept will impact our lives.
What do you think some of the most pressing problems we face are?
Climate Change full stop. I love the innovation taking place around Space Exploration with Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Richard Branson all vying to get off this planet but I’m certain mankind would be better off if we put a lot of that brainpower, ingenuity, and resources into fixing the climate problems are remarkable planet faces.
